The implementation of Decision Manager will enable SpiceJet to automatically screen transactions for fraud, reducing the burden of manual intervention on the airline, SpiceJet said in a statement.

Decision Manager assesses over 150 factors associated with each order and, based on rules SpiceJet defines, returns a score that determines whether the online order should be accepted, reviewed or rejected. The assessment takes place in real-time, minimizing the likelihood of a delay to the customer.

Siddhanta Sharma, executive chairman, SpiceJet, said, "CyberSource Decision Manager is highly customizable and can easily be updated to suit our business. The solution fits well into the company's overall e-business strategy as it enables us to control fraud without additional resources required to manually screen transactions.”

"As SpiceJet plans to fly internationally in the future we will benefit from CyberSource's global coverage, accessing their expertise and knowledge of fraud trends in the international market," he added.

Dr Akif Khan, head of client and technical services at CyberSource, said, " By developing a deeper understanding of the specific fraud challenges facing the travel industry in India, and optimizing our solutions accordingly, CyberSource can help Indian organizations minimize the risk of online fraud."
