SPi sets up facility in Chennai

CHENNAI, INDIA: SPi, BPO Service Company has announced the opening of its new purpose-built facility in India centered in Chennai.

The new facility is part of SPi’s US$50 million expansion and acquisition plans.

This new center in Chennai will house the operations of SPi’s Publishing and Healthcare businesses and also will open up employment opportunities for more than 360 content specialists. Using robust technology platforms, these talented professionals will provide a wide array of editorial and content production services for publishers of books, serials and major reference works, as well as medical transcription services for hospitals and clinics.

SPi’s capabilities in Chennai will continue to be supplemented by SPi’s existing delivery centers in New Delhi, Pondicherry and Coimbatore.

The growing volume of our book editorial and production services business and medical transcription business along with the types of skill sets available in Chennai has prompted us to make the strategic decision to expand and build this new state-of-the-art facility.” said Ernest L.
