Spectrum auction guidelines coming soon

NEW DELHI, INDIA: India's telecom regulator is expected to submit its recommendations on spectrum auction, including eligibility criteria and reserve price to the government.

TRAI chairman J.S. Sarma has today said that they would be able to give suggestions for unified license to DoT. “We’ll submit our recommendations on spectrum auction before April 15,” he added.

The regulator has issued a consultation paper: ‘Auction of Spectrum’ on March 7, and sought suggestions on a series of issues such as spectrum allocation, reserve price, eligibility criteria, spectrum re-farming and roll-out obligations.
