Based on the leaked photographs and the analysis by the experts it is strongly believed that Sony Xperia Z Ultra will have a 6.44-inch IPS LCD screen with 1,920 x 1,080p resolutions. Also, the device would have an image density of 342ppi.

The Xperia Z Ultra just like the normal Z will have three touchscreen buttons and will also have a full HD display. The ‘big' smartphone will apparently pack a Quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. That will be bolstered by a microSD card slot supporting cards up to 64GB. On the camera front, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is said to come with a 8-megapixel Exmore RS camera, and a 1.3-megapixel Exmor R in front. It could also have a 3,000mAh battery.

The first look of the handset was out when a sideways glimpse in a photograph shot for a French press invitation to a Sony event on July 4, made the Sony Xperia Z Ultra appear to be an ultra-slim, stylus packing device that has a headphone jack relocated on the side of the device. Soon after that a full frontal picture of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra went viral online.

In the picture it was revealed the handset to be a super-sized version of the Sony Xperia Z smartphone. However among the tech analysts stylus remains the bone of contention with some experts of the strong belief that despite the stylus shown in in the French press invite, Xperia Z Ultra won't ship with a stylus, but will be compatible with third-party options.
