Currently SonicWall has training centers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Europe and the US. “There are several people who are conversant with our UTM and security products, which is why we thought it important that they get a certification for their capabilities to deploy and service these solutions,” said Shubhomoy Biswas, Country Director, SonicWall, India.

The course will be aimed at companies who have deployed SonicWall’s solutions and want to train their internal IT managers to manage it better. Besides this, its solution providers and distributors can also send their people for training which will help them sell the products better. “We will offer attractive discounts to the students of our channel partners, though we have not outlined the slabs yet,” Biswas added.

He also outlined the company’s channel blueprint for this year, which will help it increase marketshare across its four product lines—UTM, SSL VPN, CDP and email security. It has created a breadth and depth categorization where it define breadth as the number of partners it has in B, C and D-class cities and depth as partners who have been engaging with SonicWall for sometime and generate substantial business for it.

The company will train partners on networking and security skillsets based on the regions they operate in. “Partners in metro cities need to have technical skillsets, so they can address the needs of corporate clients. But in rural cities, partners should have high geographical knowledge they operate in,” Biswas elaborated.

SonicWall’s CAGR growth in India over the past four years has been between 100 to 120 percent.
