LAS VEGAS, USA: Sonic Alert will demonstrate the Ampli550 amplified telephone for individuals who are hard-of-hearing or have vision loss.

The ampli550 is a truly dual-purpose amplified telephone, providing practical convenience for both hard-of-hearing and visually-impaired individuals. The phone features a 95 decibel extra-loud ringer with flashing strobe, and Tru-Sound crystal clear amplification providing up to 55 decibels, and an additional 15 decibels through the speaker phone.

The model 555 adds an integrated answering machine with numerous functions, including slow message playback so you're sure not to miss a single word.

As the only true cross-over or dual purpose telephones on the market, the Ampli 550 offers several features aimed also at the needs of visually-impaired individuals. Among these are big buttons, to easily locate, that provide a clean tactile feeling when pressed. On the top of the phone is a large backlit display situated upright to make it easier to see the numbers, while at the same time ‘talking keys' confirm the number pressed, as well as talking caller ID for the number of an incoming call.

An optional bed-shaker is available to provide tactile sensory notification. Several other conveniences are offered and the phone is T-coil hearing aid compatible. As with all Sonic Alert and geemarc telephones, a one year warranty is standard.
