ARCHIVEjinne is an email archiving solution addressing the most critical business and regulatory requirements for email compliance. Founder and CEO of Solix, Sai Gundavelli said that as Indian companies go global, their exposure to international compliance requirements such as SOX, HIPPA and Basel II is increasing the reliance on email as substantial evidence in corporate lawsuits is prompting them to implement email archiving.

“With the email archiving solution customers can capture, organize, protect, retain messages, comply integrity and accessibility of saved email messages. The customer can execute, manage, and schedule archiving policy both at the individual and the mail server level. It reduces storage costs, reduces backup and disaster recovery time,” Gundavelli said. Gundavelli said that Solix is the first company to come up with such a kind of solution.

NASSCOM president Kiran Karnik said that with the ever-increasing use of email, especially for business communication, email archiving has become an increasingly important need. He said that as India Inc. goes global, and the bulk of business is transacted through email, such archiving has become important. “It may also contribute positively with regard to data security issues facing the Indian BPO industry as email archiving could help detect data pilferage. This new solution is most welcome and I am sure that it will contribute in an important way towards the on-going growth of the BPO industry,” Karnik added.

Gundavelli said that the solution would configure multiple email servers simultaneously with the same archiving tool. The solution also accelerates Microsoft Exchange and Lotus notes software upgrades and migrations. Its functionality spans across all data segments including application, email and documents in an enterprise.
