Software pops up on Amazon India's aisles

BENGALURU, INDIA: Amazon.in, the well-known online store announced the launch of The Software Store which, it tells, has over 1500 products across security software, office tools and educational software. The store offers products from all leading international brands such as Microsoft, Kaspersky, Norton and McAfee as well as domestic players such as Quick Heal, Tally, S.Chand, iDaa and Practice Guru, says the company.

“We are delighted to launch the Software store on Amazon.in. Customers in tier-2 and tier-3 cities have limited access to genuine software products and this is further aggravated by the wide prevalence of counterfeit products in the market. The new Software Store on Amazon.in fills in this gap by providing an easy and convenient access to genuine software for customers across India,” says Samir Kumar, Director Category Management, Amazon India. “With Amazon’s A-to-Z guarantee and no-questions-asked easy return policies, customers now have a trustworthy destination for purchasing genuine software products,” he adds.

The security software products sub-store, the most popular sub-category among customers, offers a selection of over 400 products split across Anti-virus, Internet Security and Total security products.

As Amazon put it - Customers will be spoilt for choice with selection from over 20 top brands with great discounts on some of the leading brands like Kaspersky, ESET and McAfee. Business & Office store has products across Operating systems, Microsoft office and other utility software like E-mail extractors, accounting software among others.

The Software Store also includes over 600 titles in educational content sold in PC-ROM/CD, DVD and USB formats ranging from test preparation material (SBI PO, IIT JEE, Olympiads) to academic supplement materials for all classes with great introductory offers from leading brands; explained the announcement.
