Softlink unveils new products

MUMBAI, INDIA:Softlink Logistics Systems Private Ltd, a logistics software product company, launched two new products, Logi-Sys and X-Ponent, in Mumbai on Thursday.

Both products are targeted at the logistics industry and its operations, where the company already has six existing products.

Logi-Sys is a web-based, enterprise-class logistics suite for managing the operations of international freight forwarders, third party logistics players (3PLs), air cargo agents, shipping agencies and non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCCs).

It is a modular, scalable with plug-n-play feature, which can be easily integrated to other applications such as ERP and Inventory softwares.

It is designed to meet the challenges of air and sea freight operations management across locations, revenue flow, streamline documentation and the regulatory requirements. Logi-Sys supports multi-country and multi-currency transactions.

“The logistics industry as a whole faces lots of problems and spends huge amounts compared to other countries due to lack of efficient system, non existing synchronized operations and inability of timely decision,” said Softlink's CEO and managing director Amit Maheshwari, while speaking to CyberMedia News.

“Hence, the software will help to linkup all the components of the logistics industry that will raise its efficiency, synchronize operations to lower costs and help to increase revenues and profits,” he added.

While Logi-Sys is focused on the logistics operations, X-Ponent, the other product aims to enhance organization management and resource utilization in areas of sales, service, marketing, customers management and streamlining processes.

X-Ponent's key features include, account management, lead tracking and routing, quote generation, team management, user defined alerts for critical tasks scheduling and information along with user defined MIS report analysis and many more.

It can be integrated with MS Outlooks and other applications too. Commenting on X-Ponent, Maheshwari said, “One cannot change the economic scenario but using this product, companies can empower themselves in managing the businesses efficiently to raise profits and control costs.”

Further he explained that presently, all the products are based on the Indian Customs' regulations and compliance, however the new products can be modified as per other countries' regulations and are global products for logistics.

“Currently, all products are in English, however in future more foreign languages will be added for markets in Europe, UK and Africa,” he added.

Both the products are available in license and Software as a Service (SaaS) models. The price range starts at Rs 10 lakh up to Rs 30-40 lakh based on application modules.
