Softex develops software for mobile camera

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: Kerala's Technopark based Softex Digtal (P) Ltd has developed software for the latest cell phone-camera launched by Siemens - Siemens MC60. According to the company, using this software, any photo taken with the MC60 can be edited at will before mailing the picture.

The company claims that this photo editor not only handles all basic image editing but also supports tuning of image properties like brightness, contrast, color, transformations like image flipping, rotation and resizing, special effects like warping and image composition.

“Photo editing software is available on PCs but creating such a complex software in the small environs of a cell phone is like inscribing the Ramayana on a grain of sand with only a thumbnail as a tool”, said Chairman of Softex Group RP Lalaji.

Softex has been titled 'Advanced Development Partner' by Siemens and has so far developed many games and applications for Siemens. AT&T is selling globally by Siemens and in the US cell phone games created by Softex.
