BANGALORE, INDIA: Apple has released a new version of iTunes music player that features several new features. iTunes 11 has also removed the sidebar-based navigation found in earlier iTunes versions and moves to a tab-like interface. The latest music player from Apple is available as a free download from Apple's website or via Apple Software Update on your Mac/ PC. However, before you go about downloading it, let's take a look at some of the new features of iTunes 11.

Redesigned player: Looking for things you want is now simple on iTunes 11. When one clicks on music, that's all the see and the same goes for movies, TV shows and others, according to Apple's official website.

Expanded view: Users can now see all the songs on an album, play the song and continue to browse, without having to go back to the library. iTunes will also provide recommendations for similar albums.

Mini player: The mini player on iTunes 11 shows which song is up next. So, users can search for different songs without having to open the music library.

Preview history: Users now have an option to click the Preview History button to see all the music, movies, and TV shows that they've checked out. ''iCloud keeps your preview history up to date across all your devices,'' says Apple's official website.

iCloud: iCloud integration adds ability to resume playback of a podcast, audiobook or video where users left-off across various devices without having to sync them first.
