SNIA's Solid State Storage (SSS) Performance Test Specification (PTS) has two specifications; one for enterprise SSD and one for client SSDs.

The test methodologies are similar but the settings vary. The enterprise PTS will be released this month, with the client PTS due in the third quarter of this year, adds the report.

Twenty seven SNIA members companies are involved in the initiative and its technical work group is formed of 40 companies.
