Besides the capabilities of sharing network bandwidth ensuring Quality-of-Service (QoS) to users, the SMCBR24Q can be efficiently managed and easily deployed at home, SOHO environment or as a matter of fact just anywhere.

The company said in a statement that this specialized router contains two WAN ports for Internet access and four Ethernet 10/100 ports for LAN users. Users can switch on its QoS function by simply pressing the Q-button on the panel. This ensures that every user behind its four LAN ports get complete Quality-of-Service.

The flexible and easy to use QoS function is an essential for environments that needs traffic prioritization by IP or application, minimum guaranteed bandwidth or limited bandwidth (maximum bandwidth). QoS is critical for bandwidth sensitive applications such as VoIP and media streaming.

The Barricade SMCBR24Q guarantees the users with essential bandwidth to be able to run these bandwidth-sensitive applications. All that the users have to do is to set the WAN bandwidth that's provided by the ISP, and set the desired bandwidth by each user's IP, or by application's TCP/UDP port number to utilize traffic prioritization and attain preset guaranteed bandwidth.

The SMCBR24Q Barricade 4-Port QoS Broadband Router is available at a price range of $ 900 through all the authorized channel partners of SMC Networks in the country.
