In order to better respond to the financial requirements of major systems integrators, Test Designer now has a new marketing model that will help reduce the initial investment of clients in order to obtain earlier Return on Investment, said a press release.

“By pricing our offer based on usage, we will be able to better address ROI calculation issues of large companies while bringing our solution closer than ever to those of our partner systems integrators,” said Stéphane Werba, director of Operations at Smartesting.

He further said that their technical improvements and innovative pricing help them aggressively pursue two primordial goals: improved profitability of our solutions and expansion of their use in our market.

Emmanuel Vergé, product marketing director added, “Our objective is to improve access to model-based test generation for testers through a simplified model development and to increase integration of our solution in the software testing value chain with HP, IBM and Borland solutions.”

The new version 3.4 of Test Designer comes with three major improvements:

*Creation of test models is simplified through new services, which simulate the behaviour of the model and specify expected test results;

*Addition of test to the repository is made easier through explicit description of tests in natural language; this opens the solution to less technical user profiles and provides the possibility of executing tests either manually or automatically;

*A new editor dedicated to the solution and integrated in Eclipse, which helps users be more productive in Model-based testing.

In addition, Smartesting continues improving the integration of its solution with the main test environments of the market; in particular, a beta release of the connector to HP Business Process Test solution, the reusable component-based solution of HP Quality Center, is now available, added the release.
