The pre-paid, stored value card, which is available in Rs 100, Rs 250 and Rs
500 denominations, are virtually as secure as cash and can be used at different
e-commerce sites with which the company is in the process of tying up, according
to a release. The cards will be supported by a network of retail outlets,
ensuring their easy availability. Smartcc will be a payment option on the
shopping cart at the various partner sites.

The company is expecting to sell around 100,000 cards in the next one year.
Currently, Smartcc.com is operating from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore,
Hyderabad and Pune. Ideas2.com has provided the first round of investment and
smartcc.com is expecting its second round of funding shortly.

Speaking about the card, Smartcc CEO Divyanshu Mishra said, "Currently
we are in talks with various eCommerce sites. We plan to have around 15 sites in
next 2 to 3 months. As the card is India specific, it is not possible to
transact with foreign portals. This card helps the people, who doesn’t have
credit card and who wants to make online transaction."
