Shortly before the open house at the innovation center, the technology giant will be accepting applications to meet 1-on-1 with emerging companies through a program called MarketLink. Executives from SK Telecom, Korea's largest wireless operator and global technology leader, will come to Sunnyvale to hear presentations from startup companies that hope to do business with the wireless technology giant.

MarketLink, a program created by San Diego technology association CommNexus, aims to bring together and provide partnership opportunities for small and multi-national technology companies from around the globe.

Technology startups have already begun signing up to pitch their businesses and technologies to SK Telecom. Under the MarketLink program, SK Telecom will choose about a dozen companies from the list of applicants. Those firms will meet face to face with executives to pitch their ideas and products in a one-hour meeting.

CommNexus has been running MarketLink programs for nine years, with some of the world's most important companies participating. The list includes Motorola, Sony Electronics, LG, Samsung, ZTE, Huawei, AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
