Sitel reaffirms its growth plans in India

BANGALORE, INDIA: Sitel, a provider in business process outsourcing, announced on Monday that it has decided to re-brand its Bangalore-based BPO center as Sitel India.

The center that was a joint venture with ITC Infotech would be re-branded as Sitel India after Sitel got major stake in the organization.

The decision would reaffirm the company's growth plans in India and eyes high returns on investment by way of its highly talented and motivated workforce.

While attending a press conference here, Safir Adeni, managing director and CEO, Sitel India, said, "This expanded footprint and capability would further enhance our value proposition to our global clients while also helping us leverage the Sitel brand in the local region. This is a mutually beneficial and complimentary integration."

The focus of Sitel's business strategy is enabling its over 450 customers globally with the expertise of additional service offerings. Services provided would include, customer service, technical support, sales and saves, outbound sales, acquisition, collections, professional services, back office processing and transaction processing.

Stating that the global economic slowdown did not have any major impact on Sitel, Safir Adeni said: “We have diversified across multiple verticals and we didn’t have a huge dependence on BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance), the segments that suffered heavily due to the recession
