NEW DELHI: Contact center services provider SITEL Corporation has launched its operations in Gurgaon.

Safir Adeni, CEO, SITEL India, said, “We are excited to launch SITEL India’s fifth and the largest contact center in Gurgaon, one of the most prominent outsourcing and offshoring hubs in India. “We are planning to bring on an additional 4000 people in the next two years as part of our strategic growth plans in India.”

“The first process at the Gurgaon center is a 500 people tech support operation for a major North American client,” said Sachin Varma, senior vice president and center head, Gurgaon.

The centre will initially focus on the Financial Services and Telecom verticals leveraging on the talent pool in the capital region.

SITEL India has invested over Rs. 100 crores in 2006-`07 and plans to double this investment over the next 18 months. “Our significant focus on being the employer of choice and our passion for excellence has enabled us to maintain the global best in class position, for all our clients,” said Adeni.
