MUMBAI: In a move to take advantage of the opening of the VoIP sector in
India, Siemens Information System Ltd. (SISL) and VocalTec Communications Ltd.
have entered into a strategic agreement facilitating cooperation in this rapidly
growing area..
This agreement will allow SISL to offer end-to-end solutions comprised of
VocalTec's VoIP hardware and software together with SISL's system integration
services for integration of third party software. SISL is planning to offer this
comprehensive VoIP solution to carrier, telecom service providers and
enterprises within India and neighboring regions excluding Nepal.
Anil Laud, Managing Director, SISL, said, " This synergistic tie-up
enables SISL to offer end-to-end VoIP solutions, given the strengths,
competencies and expertise of VocalTec in this area."
SISL will distribute and perform systems integration for the full range of
VocalTec's solution including international and long distance calling, voice
VPN, calling card, exchange carrier and surf and call e-commerce.

VocalTec will provide backline support to SISL as well as training to keep

level support to its customers.
