NEW DELHI: Despite being a late entrant to the Indian cabling market, The Siemon Company, provider of network cabling systems, is confident of a steady growth in the country and is targeting the financial and IT services companies.

Siemon had recently announced the setting up of its service and support offices in India. The company has two offices in Delhi and Bangalore and is planning to open its third office in Mumbai next month.

Advent Technologies is the distributor for Siemon in India and the company also works with national system integrators like Wipro, Tata Infotech, CMC, etc. on a project-to-project basis. The India office of Siemon handles the entire SAARC region. The company plans to open offices in five SAARC countries by 2006.

Enumerating the USPs of the company's solutions, Siemon country manager Rajesh Kumar said, “We are specialists in what we do -- network cabling and offer end to end solutions. We invest heavily in R&D and have over 400 active patents to our name.”

He added, “In terms of warranty, we offer 16 or 20 year coverage on the entire system from cable, connecting hardware, installation, performance, and current and future applications. No other cabling company provides that kind of warranty.”

Recently, Punjab National Bank (PNB), has selected The Siemon Company's 10G ip copper and fiber end-to-end solutions, to cope with the increasing number of network users and real-time demands from customers.

The solution will be implemented in the bank's NOC and Data Center located in New Delhi. PNB IT division GM KS Bajwa said, “The NOC and Data Center will be the key in monitoring the entire PNB network. Siemon's 10G ip cabling solution ensures that the NOC and Data Center will meet future high-speed multimedia network applications. Increase in efficiency, speed of data transfer and faster transactions are some of the benefits that we see coming out of this implementation.”
