Guenther Ernst, CI, Siemens Enterprise Communications, said, “We chose Verizon Business to support us for Europe in our global project. We had had experience of working with the company in North America, and are now planning to continue deployment across the Asia-Pacific region. Essentially, Verizon Business is helping us streamline our operations so we can enhance our business agility to realize our business goals.”

Verizon’s solution for upgrading Siemens Enterprise Communications’ European communications infrastructure integrates voice over IP with centralised, multicountry/multisite IP Trunking to link the company’s Munich headquarters with operations across 10 European countries. Additionally, Verizon IP Trunking’s Burstable Enterprise Shared Trunks (BEST) feature enables Siemens to essentially scale VoIP network capacity on demand to support its business needs.

The integrated communications and networking solution will enable Siemens to operate more efficiently and cost-effectively as it transitions to a unified communications environment. It has also enabled Siemens to transition all its voice communications to OpenScape Unified Communications Suite, which includes audio conferencing, presence and collaboration tools.
