Shipments of LED testing equipment buoy MJC Probe

TAIPEI: MJC Probe, a company which is into manufacture of Probe cards, has been seeing good times of late, with revenues on the rise.

As per June numbers, the revenues at MJC Probe were recorded at NT$284.26 million (US$8.83 million). This is an all time high for the company. The new found rise in revenues is being attributed to a rise in shipments of LED testing equipment.

It is being foreseen that shipments of probe cards would be seeing a resumption in momentum during the July-August period, thanks to a rebound in demand for handset solutions and LCD driver ICs. During the first half of 2010, revenues amounted to NT$1.35 billion, revenues rose by 126.2 per cent compared to the year ago period.

The company has said that the shipments of LED testing equipment had touched 1,068 units during the six-month period.
