"These latest models are designed for small businesses or individual departments that require a compact, efficient, and affordable color document solution. We've recognized a growing demand for smaller models that are capable of handling more sophisticated tasks and at a greater volume. In return, we've expanded our lineup to meet this need and complement our existing line of products," said Mike Marusic, senior VP, Marketing and Business Solutions Group.

Sharp's two new models, the MX-C250 and MX-C300W desktop color document systems, are capable of output speeds of up to 30 pages per minute(ppm) and offer print, copy, scan and fax features to enhance day-to-day workflows. The compact sizes of these models make them easy to fit into tight workspaces without sacrificing the advanced technology that provides professional quality output. This new series includes a high performance lens, downsized scanning unit, side-by-side toner cartridges and achieves a reduction in overall parts.

With Sharpdesk Mobile or standard wireless communication protocols, users can easily communicate with the MX-C300W without the hassle of a wired connection. Users no longer have to transfer files or images to a local machine prior to printing. Users can easily scan or print from up to five wireless devices such as a PC, laptop, smartphone, or tablet simultaneously. Additionally, wireless connectivity enables the document system to be placed in locations that may not have a wired network outlet.

"We're very proud to include so many innovative features in these smaller units and still make them cost-effective for small businesses and individual use. Most previous space-saving color copier/printers were networkable but primarily suited for personal use. These models expand our current market offerings by incorporating a full set of office-friendly features with top performance capabilities," said Marusic.

Both machines also meet the demanding Energy Star standards and come with other 'energy saving' features, such as rapid warm-up times, low power consumption, and automatic switch-off. The new MX-C250 and MX-C300W desktop color document systems will be available for purchase mid-December 2013.
