Shapar Veraval Industrial Association Activities

BANGALORE, INDIA:

Shapar Veraval Industrial Zone has been established since 1978. As Shapar and Veraval both come under Kotada Sangani District of Rajkor Industrial Area located on National Highway no. 8, Government has brought various plans and has developed as an Industrial Zone. It started with 150 units and now around 1600 units carry out production activity in this area which involves units belonging to :

  • Foundry
  • Plastic Products
  • Kitchenware
  • Agricultural Products
  • Packing Materials
  • Packing Food products

At present there are atleast more than 300 units present in this zone who export goods in several countries across the world.

When the Association was established with 150 members and now it has increased to 700 plus members. The Association office remains open 340days a year and gives all the departmental information required by the non-members.IT also organises seminars on various important issues affecting the units in association with various bodies like: 

  • NSIC
  • Banks
  • Excise,Income Tax and Sales Tax Dept.
  • PGVCL
  • GSPC
  • SIDBI
  • ISOTVC

Shapar Veraval Industrial Association also solves various problems pertaining to the member units. This Zone has not been provided any critical infrastructure facilities by the Govt. Of Gujarat. The Association on its own has started work on projects of water, electricity, sewage etc. in which 60% of the investment comes from industrial Department, 20% from Urban development and remaining 20% comes from the Entrepreneurs.

Currently the Association is working on:

  • Constructing 66 new sub-stations
  • Constructing new hospitals
  • Fire Brigade Station
  • Acting as a bridge between Employment exchange and Job seekers

The Association has its own building spread across 300sq. Mtrs with a 150 Seater AC hall. Every year Association takes up the activity of planting trees in and around the factory premises to reduce pollution. Lot of activities are currently going on around here like:

  • An Italian company has set up large project near Guvargum
  • Food products are also produced and exported
  • From Mini Tractors to Loaded three Wheelers and Passenger Cars are also manufactured and Exported from here. Right now production of Tractors is done in Collaboration with Mahindra and Mahindra
