Logic 3 i-Station 8 is a cool looking iPod docking station with a pop-out iPod charging stand dock. Available in shiny white, this docking station has a small sub-woofer in the middle with 4 small speakers on each side. The backlit LCD on top displays song information and activity commands, however the font is too small to be readable from a distance. The connectivity ports at the back include S-Video and composite video out, to connect to an external video display, and a line-in slot to connect other devices. We tested this device by playing a mixed genre of music using an iPod nano, as well as through a computer using the line-in jack. The sound output was loud and clear, with good enough bass. Even at maximum volume the output was clear without any distortions. Navigating through songs using the remote was a bit cumbersome. Moreover, the addition of FM radio would've made it truly worth the dime. Overall, an ideal gadget for your study or bedroom, if you crave for a sleek looking device with good sound and don't mind paying the relatively high asking price.
