The new iPhone application, Drinkspiration, launched by Absolut Vodka, is said to be a sophisticated drink application combining the latest mobile technology with GPS, Twitter and Facebook.

According to the spirit maker, Drinkspiration is an interactive encyclopedia of recipes that helps you find and share personalized drink recommendations based on spirit, taste, weather, time of day, bar vibe, sound volume, real-time drink trends and much more.

Currently available as a free application for iPhone and iPodTouch users, Drinkspiration is the number one free application in Sweden and has been downloaded 43,000 times in its first thirteen days on the iTunes App Store, says a release from Absolut. It is also planning to launch a version created for Google Android at the Android market later this summer.

The Drinkspiration application features hundreds of vividly illustrated drink recipes to satisfy every drink preference. It also lets users share their location and real-time drink choices through Facebook and Twitter.

Drinkspiration is your best friend in the bar, giving you guidance, personalized recommendations and an all-encompassing gateway to the drink universe, right in the palm of your hand, said Fredrick Tallroth, senior manager interactive marketing at The Absolut Company. He said the app solves any drink dilemma, quickly and in an inspiring way.

But now you have an iPhone application, Passion, that measures how competent you are when it comes to the action between the sheet.

Priced at $4.99, Passion is developed by Chris Alvares, a US computer science student who is credited with developing a number of iPhone quiz apps including WikiQuiz, Four Squared and MusicApp. The Passion application uses the phones built-in accelerometer, used to sense motion, as well as the devices microphone and timer.

Users will just have to place the phone on the bed or in a pocket before the act and, at the end the phone will give a rating out of ten based on three criteria duration, orgasm and activity. The software gives ratings from bad to perfect based on these criteria.

Passion works by using all of the iPhones distinct features such as the microphone, accelerometer and many others to determine an accurate score. All you have to do is start the application, put your iPhone on the bedin an arm band, or even in your pocketand engage in intercourse, it is as easy as that. Once you are finished, press the stop button and view your results, says Alvaris in a blogpost

The timer measures duration, while the accelerometer measures activity and the microphone measures the orgasm. And then one can upload the scores and compare with the score of other people around the world.
