"The Victorian Government has been working closely with Servion for several months to ensure that they chose Melbourne as the launching pad for its activities in Australasia," said Rich-Phillips.

"Investment facilitation for ICT companies is a key priority for the Victorian Coalition Government, as it builds on Victoria's positive business environment and attracts both new investment and re-investment opportunities into the State. The Victorian Coalition Government actively provides specialist advice to potential investors on development approvals, statutory approvals coordination, site location, infrastructure and utility requirements and the investment climate," said he.

Servion VP and region head - APAC, Abhijit Banerjee said, "We have been actively servicing clients in Australia for over six years. Geographical proximity to our customers will provide fillip to our efforts of adding greater value to their businesses. We are equally excited about contributing to the Victorian and Australian economy, which will be a direct result of our growth plans for the country."

Rich-Phillips is in India as part of the Coalition Government's tenth Indian trade mission since December 2010. To date, more than 600 Victorian organisations have taken part in Indian missions that have helped create more than $630 million in new partnerships with Indian companies and organisations.

The missions are being delivered as part of a dedicated Trade Engagement Program for India - a cornerstone of the Victorian Government's Victoria and India: From Engagement to Partnership strategy.
