BANGALORE: Servex (ME) Ltd., an Acer Group invested company, has launched the
state-of-the-art IP based Storage networking solutions based on IPSNS software.
IPSNS software enables companies to manage data over standard Internet
Protocol (IP) transmissions, such as LAN, WAN, MAN, using off the shelf
components such as Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, SCSI, iSCSI and Fiber Channel to
create large storage networks.
Leveraging the properties of IP, IPSNS software solution allows data managers
to store, retrieve, administer, backup and share data on a worldwide basis
across any IP-based transmission while reducing the overall complexity of
managing data.
To help customers reduce their total management costs, a full suite of
storage services such as unified SAN/NAS access, storage virtualization,
high-availability, mirroring, remote replication, snapshot, and zero impact
backup/restore facilitation are also offered.
Servex, general manager, Rahul Gupta said, "IPSNS software runs on a
standard Linux server and creates a simplified control point for managing
complex data storage networks. A simplified control point allows administrators
to increase the availability of their data and obtain higher levels of
productivity from existing resources. By bundling IPSNS storage software into
AnexTEK's storage products, Servex is creating a total storage management
solution supplying data storage flexibility, ease-of-use, redundancy and fault
tolerance."
