Server-level shield against spam

NEW DELHI: Customized software provider Synapse Communications Pvt Ltd, the partner for secure messaging solution firm Cloudmark Inc., today announced the availability of Cloudmark Server Edition (CSE) anti-spam and anti-phishing solution for Microsoft Exchange environments.

CSE promises to block spam and phishing attacks within 20 seconds to 3 minutes of attack origin, thereby enabling employees to focus only on emails they need. It also installs in minutes.

According to Shamit Khemka, chief executive officer, Synapse Communications Pvt Ltd, "Spam is becoming a serious network efficiency and security concern. With Cloudmark's anti-spam technology, our customers now have a solution to help keep spam and other messaging threat traffic off their networks."

CSE detects many viruses and spyware to complement an organization's existing defenses, the company says. It also blocks spam and phishing attacks from reaching mobile devices. CSE deployment frees administrators' time from help-desk calls, and rules and list management.

Administrators can view up-to-the-minute statistics on the volume of spam detected, the number of messages being filtered, the number of users enabled -- such that ROI and productivity accruals are tangible.

CSE communicates with Microsoft Exchange Server through Microsoft's interfaces to receive notifications when messages arrive and to take action on messages that have been marked as spam.
