With GITEX firmly established as the region's largest and most influential Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the partnership will deepen trade relations, foster knowledge exchange and facilitate discussions between Serbian and international and regional ICT companies.

The agreement is also set to increase the presence of Serbian ICT companies, which are seeing promising growth, at this year's 33rd edition of GITEX.

Senior Serbian government officials are expected to attend GITEX, which will lead to further opportunities to build on relationships developed among business leaders during the visit.

Country Partner Serbia, represented by the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), will bring more than 14 companies and is the largest Serbia Country Pavilion to date. The country's participation at GITEX will shed light on its achievement and developments in the ICT sector as well as encourage further partnerships and business ventures between Serbia and key stakeholders.

Illustrating Serbia's potential is its IT market value, which experienced a growth from $646 million in 2012 to a current value of $681 million, according to Business Monitor International's Serbia Information Technology Report 2013. Business Monitor International expects a market CAGR of 8 percent for 2013-2017 as Serbia's new status as an EU Candidate Country fuels a new wave of ICT investment.
