Seiko Instruments announces new housings for quartz SCX 32 kHz

NEU ISENBURG, GERMANY: The new SC-20S quartz are an additional model in the SCX range of Seiko Instruments.

Even more compact size and above finer, these ceramic housings are completely lead free Series SC-20S product most suited to portable applications and in all applications requiring a high density of components on the PCB. CS-20S is available with a capacity of 7 pF, 9 pF or 12.5 pF.

These quartz are used as the most accurate clock generators for low power systems such as watches, RTC or the WDT. They are also recommended for the functions and secondary clock microprocessors standby and extended to reduce the power consumption standby mode.

The quartz series SCX use a tuning fork resonator and a photolithographic technology. This technology ensures their high reliability, low aging and high resistance to shock and heat. The adjustment method by ion gun provides a very tight frequency tolerance over a wide temperature range.
