USA: SECUDE, data security provider specializing in SAP security, has announced the global release of Halocore for SAP NetWeaver. The solution secures sensitive information right at the point of data export by enforcing protection on the data/documents themselves.
This approach provides permanent protection against loss, leak, and theft of sensitive data, even beyond the traditional network boundaries. It is designed to give SAP users superior security for sharing documents in the cloud or on premise.
Halocore forces the application of the company's information security policy with any file downloaded from NetWeaver-based applications, so it travels with the file. SECUDE's Halocore for SAP NetWeaver is currently the only software that integrates this approach directly with SAP applications. This new technology ensures that only authorized users can access sensitive data no matter where it is located.
"We are excited to offer SAP clients a powerful security solution that helps protect sensitive information regardless of its form and location," said Dr. Heiner Kromer, SECUDE's founder and CEO. "SECUDE has been innovating for almost two decades, creating transformational products that enhance the security of SAP environments. After we sold our Secure Login solution (currently known as Single Sign-On) to SAP AG in 2011, our team had immediately started researching the next big thing SAP users were looking for in terms of security."
"We found that among SAP users, concerns surrounding data protection have never been stronger," continued Dr. Kromer. "The explosion of cloud computing and mobile workforce only adds another layer to this complicated issue. Unfortunately, existing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) mechanisms are often left powerless in protecting data that has left the secure SAP perimeter. Halocore for SAP NetWeaver addresses all of those concerns and more."
