Second CTP for SQL Server 2005, released

NEW DELHI: Microsoft has announced the availability of the second Community Technology Preview (CTP) for its database software SQL Server 2005. It has also made SQL Server 2005 Express Manager, a new, free database management tool available for technical preview. Said an online report.

The second CTP of SQL Server 2005 is available to all MSDN subscribers. A CTP is an interim build that can be used by the community to test and experiment with new features.

Main feature in this preview is the 64-bit support for SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services and SQL Server 2005 Integration Services on top of the 64-bit support already included for the database engine. Said the report.
