SCO adds Insight connector to its messaging server

BANGALORE: The SCO Group has launched SCO Insight Connector for the SCO Volution Messaging Server. Using a set of technologies from Bynari, Inc., SCO Insight Connector provides businesses using the SCO Volution Messaging Server with Outlook collaboration functions such as calendaring, shared folders, global address books and meeting room scheduling. The end result is a reliable, easy to use and low cost alternative to Microsoft Exchange.

The SCO Insight Connector simplifies migration by providing a mechanism to seamlessly copy existing user data from legacy Microsoft Exchange Server to the SCO Volution Messaging Server. In addition, SCO Insight Connector operates with all Microsoft Outlook clients and allows Microsoft Outlook to run in corporate workgroup mode, providing the widest possible range of Outlook features and reducing the number of steps required for migration.
