New Update

NEW DELHI: Schneider Electric, provider of solutions in electrical distribution, industrial control and automation, has announced the launch of Clipsal C-Bus home automation solutions to meet the increasing demand for "intelligent & secure" buildings in India.

The press release states that with Clipsal C-Bus customers can now activate their home theatre, lighting, close their curtains and even control their air-conditioning from a single point control. In addition, they can also control all these from away from home via the Internet or even through their mobile phones.

The system can be installed in stages throughout a home. Customers can also change and add on accessories to the system anytime starting, with basic lighting control and build on that over the years to full control of the home. Existing homes can also be retrofitted, depending on construction.

The Clipsal Smart Switches work on the intelligent C-Bus network and can perform intelligent functions such as doing the lighting of the home with a single touch and acting as a timer etc. The switches can also be programmed to work with sensors (e.g. light up when the sun goes down) and create scenes (eg. lighting of the walkway on arrival).
