SBS has signed two multi year offshore outsourcing deals with overseas companies. One is with a leading 50-year old mid-sized accounting services firm in Australia, specializing in areas of business services, taxation and super annuation funds. The other overseas BPO deal is with a leading well-established CA firm in the UK.

In July this year, SBS marked its entry into the overseas market with a Rs 10 crore outsourcing deal with an Australian firm. SBS's strategy is to make further inroads into the overseas market and establish a strong base there. As part of the overseas strategy, SBS has, in the last three months, set up offices in Singapore, Dubai and London.

SBS service offerings include accounting services, credit processing, deposit processing, employee administration and insurance related processing services. SBS has a strong domestic client base in the BFSI and accounting space. In keeping with Sundaram Finance's core philosophy of ' Do what you know best', SBS focuses on 'Non-Voice' support services.

Commenting on the outlook for its BPO arm, T. T. Srinivasaraghavan, Managing Director, Sundaram Finance said, "We are happy with the progress SBS has made on the BPO front. The recent wins in Australia and the UK reaffirms our stated intent of SBS looking beyond the SF Group. Having made its first strides into the overseas market this year, we believe that SBS will, into the next 12months, establish a strong presence in the overseas market. On the domestic front, we expect SBS to continue to mine deeper into its existing client base and expand the current outsourcing engagements."

As part of its employee expansion plans, SBS is in the process of hiring over 200 people to take its headcount to 600 by mid 2005.
