MUNICH, GERMANY: Axiros, the technology leader in advanced service and device management, announced today that SBB-Telemach Group, the largest pay-TV platform in southeast Europe owned by KKR, a leading global investment firm, has selected Axiros for the remote provisioning and management of its customer premise equipment (CPE) across voice, video and data services.
The partnership underscores Axiros' continued growth across Europe as well as its strong reputation as a solutions provider in the cable television arena.
With nearly 1.5 million television, Internet and telephony subscribers, SBB-Telemach Group is the leading cable television and broadband Internet Service Provider across the former Yugoslavia. The company chose Axiros based on a previous relationship between Telemach and Axiros in Slovenia in 2011.
According to Telemach Head of IP/IT Department Marko BolÄiÄ TavÄar, Axiros' deep industry knowledge, technology leadership and professional support were key considerations when making the decision. "The home environment and the connected devices found within it are changing rapidly," he says. "Axiros' expertise and forward-thinking approach translate into a product portfolio capable of adapting swiftly to the marketplace."
Vladan Spasic, SBB Internet services director, added: "Axiros' solid track record with Telemach convinced us they were the right partner for SBB. The bottom line is that we are able to deliver a seamless home environment experience to our customers."
Specifically, SBB-Telemach will deploy Axiros' flagship product, the AXESS.ACS TR-069 autoconfiguration server. AXESS.ACS enables highly flexible and scalable interaction with CPEs - specifically modems, set-top boxes and VoiP-phones - for the purposes of (re)configuration, mass firmware downloads, fault clearances and general real time subscriber support.
