Digium’s Switchvox IP PBX has been certified to work with MegaPath’s Duet SIP Trunking service, thereby streamlining adoption of the Switchvox telephony system. Switchvox is a low-cost VoIP and unified communications solution built on the open source Asterisk platform.

MegaPath’s Duet SIP Trunking is a business-class phone and Internet T1 service that is delivered over a private, all-optical MPLS nationwide network using an existing IP-PBX system. As part of MegaPath’s fully managed Duet line of services, Duet SIP Trunking is a low-cost, high-speed Internet and feature-rich voice bundle that is ideal for small to medium-sized businesses.

MegaPath Duet and Switchvox

MegaPath’s Duet SIP Trunking service is delivered over a private circuit and prioritizes voice traffic over data traffic. This prioritization gives customers a high-level of call quality to meet their business needs. In addition, the service includes voice and data features such as T1 Internet access, Domain Name Management, 50 email accounts, spam filtering and static IPs.

Switchvox’s unique web-aware capabilities allow its integration with web and back office applications, turning the phone system into a powerful unified communications (UC) platform, with no programming knowledge required.
