Satyam ties up with TechnologyNet

BANGALORE: Satyam Infoway has struck an alliance with US-based TechnologyNet,

to launch a 'Technology Channel' on SatyamOnline.com

to enable a marketplace for buyers and suppliers of IT solutions.

TechnologyNet is a player in the USA for IT solution providers, buyers and

distributors. The alliance is significant in that Satyamonline.com

now becomes part of the global network for the IT product and e-Marketplace.

This relationship is part of the series of business agreements being entered to

as part of the current visit of President Clinton and the department of commerce

from the USA, a release issued by the company said.

The strategic partnership agreement will be an agreement in the information technology area that will be formally signed in presence of secretary, department of commerce on March 24 at Hyderabad. "Through this strategic partnership, we are now offering the global marketplace for the Indian IT solution providers," said Satyam Infoway managing director and CEO R. Ramaraj. Mr Alan Weinberger, chairman and CEO, TechnologyNet said that the business alliance between TechnologyNet and Satyam Infoway fosters International relationship between USA and India. This agreement directly addresses the government’s request to create a 'US and India dot-com link' between thousands of IT firms in the two countries.
