Satyam to support IIT — Madras R&D projects

NEW DELHI: Satyam Computer Services Ltd has announced a tie-up with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Madras, to extend support towards R&D projects, Satyam chairman B Ramalinga Raju and IIT-Madras director Prof. MS Ananth signed a MoU to this effect.



According to the BSE website, students of IIT-Madras will benefit from this synergy, as Satyam will offer its practical domain expertise and knowledge in manufacturing, automotive and other areas of interest, to the students. The institute on the other hand will help by providing academic expertise, guidance and facilities to carry out the R&D studies. Additionally, Satyam will also generate funds to support the project cost.



Commenting on this tie-up, Raju, said, "Networking of industry and Institutes is an essential catalyst in all round development and progress. The synergies that both constituents bring to the process are highly beneficial to everyone involved - the students, the institute, the organization, the industry and ultimately the nation itself. This tie-up today is another initiative from Satyam in its efforts to promote the networking".
