HYDERABAD, INDIA: Indian IT major Satyam Computers now sports a new tagline. The previous one – ‘What Business Demands’, adopted by the Hyderabad-based company in 2003, now gives place to ‘Business Transformation’.

The company termed the change as a demarcation of the growth of the company.

As put forth by Hari Thalapalli, Satyam’s global head for Marketing and Communication, the tagline was changed to match the maturity level of the company.

“Over a couple of decades Satyam has moved beyond just providing technology to providing customer complete business solutions,” informed Thalapalli.

“We are now very well equipped to face competition from the likes of IBM and Accenture globally. Today we can provide the overall services at par, if not better and at much lower cost,” said Thalapalli.

The change also reflects market realities where companies are more open to approach players other than the current top five.

This is the third time that Satyam has changed its tagline. It started off with the tagline - ‘our people make the difference’.

“The new logo symbolizes our change in making our customer our partner. We help tackle the pain points of the customer and transform business,” said Thalapalli.

“The idea is to apply the deep understanding the company has had over these years and take away the apparent business complexities for the customer to function,” said Thalapalli.
