Satyam profit takes a dip

BANGALORE: Satyam Computer Services Ltd today reported a 30.36 dip in its net profit for the third quarter ended December 31 to Rs 3,433 million from Rs 4,930.75 million posted for the year-ago period.

Sequentially, the net profit of the company increased 6.5 per cent from Rs 3,223.4 million, Satyam informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The total income of the company stood at Rs 16,046 million during the reporting quarter, as compared to Rs 15,184.9 million posted for the corresponding quarter ended December 31, 2005, an increase of 5.67 per cent. On a sequential basis, this was an increase of 2.47 per cent
