BANGALORE: Satyam Computer Services has signed a strategic alliance with US
based infrastructure software provider for the enterprise sector, Autonomy
Corporation. Under the agreement, Satyam will be a services partner and offer
strategic consulting and systems integration services to architect complete
knowledge management solutions that utilize Autonomy's infrastructure
technology.
At the heart of Autonomy's software is its ability to analyze text and voice
and identify and rank the main concepts within it. It can then automatically
categorize, link, personalize and deliver that information. The technology is
used to automate these operations within enterprise information portals,
customer relationship management, knowledge management and e-business
applications.
Satyam's senior vice president-collaborative enterprise solutions, Mohan F S
Eddy said, "Analysts estimate that unstructured information is doubling in
quantity every three months. Our alliance with Autonomy combines Satyam's
strategic consulting and systems integration capability with Autonomy's unique
solution to a growing number of applications and a host of platforms and devices
that are increasingly dependent on utilizing unstructured information to build
their Knowledge Management capability. By automating key processes Autonomy's
technology offers significant savings for every type of organization and
industry."
Autonomy Corporation's co-founder and CTO, Richard Gaunt, said, "We are
expanding our partner program into a new geographic region and are pleased that
Satyam is our first partner in India. Satyam's diverse competencies and its
experience in handling large projects for global customers are closely aligned
with our partner-focused business model."
