“The need to hire some entry-level people is being felt because of attrition and to prepare for the future," the report quoted Hari T, chief people officer, Mahindra Satyam as saying.

These recruits will be among the 7,000 who received offers from Satyam before the scam came to light.

Satyam was hit by the country's largest corporate scandal when founder and chairman Ramalinga Raju quit in January, revealing that profits had been overstated for years.

Though there were reports that Satyam is losing clients, its a senior executive had said that customer attrition has stopped and it is not offering price cuts to win new deals.

After Tech Mahindra took over the control of Satyam, the company had implemented a virtual pool programme to send nearly 10,000 surplus employees on a sabbatical.
