Satyam, Healthaxis tie up on healthcare solution

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computer Services Ltd., a global, multifaceted end-to-end

IT solutions provider, has announced an expanded partnership with the US-based

Healthaxis Inc., a leading supplier of technology solutions for the health care

industry.

Satyam will be a principal development partner for Healthaxis regarding its

latest generation Insur-Enroll solution and other related technologies. Satyam

has also agreed to become Healthaxis' primary integration partner for deploying

the solution.

The solution provides a 24/7 web-based self-service environment for

members/employees and enrollment administrators. The solution supports a range

of benefit plans such as medical, dental, dependent care, flexible spending

accounts, accident and disability. The enrollment features also include

demographic information, online plan documents and administrative support tools.

Healthaxis has been successfully deploying enrollment solutions since 1998,

supporting groups ranging from 1,400 to over 40,000 employees. The latest

generation Insur-Enroll solution uses Healthaxis' own XML-based connectivity and

web-based application deployment platforms. This foundation provides robust

connectivity options between multiple trading partners while significantly

reducing the effort and cost required for implementation and maintenance.
