Satyam, CCMB tie up for IT enabled services

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computer Services Limited, and the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) have signed an agreement for working together in identifying business opportunities for IT enabled services at the global level in the area of bioinformatics and related fields. According to the five-year agreement, both would work in tandem to find solutions in the area of bioinformatics and market them globally.



Product solutions or dedicated programs would be offered to clients interested in pharmaceutical research, gene research, drug discovery process, drug approval process, genetically engineered molecules in healthcare and other relevant sectors. The two partners would also work towards the concept of convergence of biotechnology and bioinformatics with the help of this partnership.



Satyam executive vice president and COO Ram Mynampati said, "We strongly believe that we will have the early mover advantage in the emerging markets of biotechnology and this partnership would create a roadmap for us to develop synergy between biotechnology and bioinformatics."
