Sateri Systems to set up devt. facility in Pune

PUNE: Sateri Systems Inc., a US incorporated company focused on IT consulting in the telecommunications industry, is investing $ one million in India to set up a development facility in Pune.

According to Sateri Systems president and CEO Lalit Mahadeshwar, the center would encourage R&D in various technologies and would have a seating capacity of 250 people by the year-end. The company currently employees over 47 people across the world and that includes 23 employees in India.

The five-year-old company has bagged a three-year contract to use its bill presentation and payment business solution in Application Service Provider (ASP) model by Gaum Telecom Authority (GTA), USA (an erstwhile government organization). The product called Sasin bp is a bill solution that has been developed by the Pune team.



Mahadeshwar said that offering online services to customers is becoming the norm among multi service providers and telecom providers. “Sasin bp is an on demand bill presentation and payment solution that caters to all requirements of bill presentation. The product promises to facilitate users to pay the bill on-line using ATM/credit card or e-checks and also provides reports to user to understand and utilize their billing data efficiently,” he added.

Sateri Systems has also won a turnkey project for implementing GSM services for the island of Gaum. Mahadeshwar also informed that the company is now aggressively targeting the APAC region for growth. “In APAC, the company is targeting tier 2 and tier 3 companies. We will also look at the Indian market at a later point,” he added.
