Sasken to go public

BANGALORE: Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd, one of India's leading software companies specialising in wireless technologies, said on Friday it will go public in the year to March 2006.



"We are planning an IPO (initial public offering of shares) this fiscal year. But the dates are not finalised," a company spokesman said.



A venture arm of chip-maker Intel is among the investors in Bangalore-based Sasken, considered one of India's hottest startups.



Sasken, which has a staff strength of more than 2,000, makes products and offers consulting services to semiconductor, handset and telecoms equipment makers.
