Sasken gets new CTO

BANGALORE: Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd has announced the appointment of Rajesh Tyagi as chief technology officer (Products and Services).

Tyagi will be responsible for providing technology direction to all of Sasken’s global product and services business units as well as positioning Sasken’s technology solutions with its global customer base.

Tyagi has 22 years of experience in 2.5G/3G/4G wireless, VoIP/VoBB, data, and optical networking technologies. Most recently, Tyagi was executive advisor – Technology and Portfolio Strategy at Motorola Inc. He was also with sentitO Networks, Excieo Systems, Pelago Networks and Nortel Networks. Leading an internally funded startup within Nortel, Tyagi developed and demonstrated the industry-first “storage over agile optical network” technology.

Tyagi holds a patent in Optical-IP networking area and has filed multiple patents for distributed architectural solution that enables multi-media services and applications in both Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and Network-based sessions in an IMS or non-IMS domain.

He holds a Masters in Applied Science with Honours (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Business Management (MBA) from Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto.
