Sasken acquires Integrated SoftTech Solutions

BANGALORE: Telecom R&D outsourcing firm Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd today announced the 100 per cent acquisition of Chennai-based Integrated SoftTech Solutions (iSoftTech) for a consideration of $1.45 million.

Rajiv Mody, chairman and CEO, Sasken said, “We see an excellent strategic fitment with their (Integrated SoftTech) operations. Their focus has been on providing embedded and enterprise solutions for customers in the VoIP, WLAN and Networking markets, along with a complete set of product life cycle support services for data networks customers.”

Following this acquisition, Sasken would add a Chennai development centre to its already existing facilities in Bangalore and Pune.

“Chennai is growing in popularity as a destination for IT outsourcing, and we are excited about having a development centre here. Integrated SoftTech currently has an 110+-strong team in Chennai, which will be completely integrated with the Sasken family,” added Rajiv.

Commenting on the development, Ray Stata, chairman, Integrated SoftTech said, “We are very happy with this recognition to iSoftTech's expertise and the growth opportunities it offers the iSoftTech team. Sasken has been a pioneer in the telecom R&D outsourcing space, and their unique hybrid model is very exciting.”

The definitive agreement has been signed between the two companies, and integration efforts will start immediately.
